A commission I completed recently, the point was to create a still life that could fit an antique frame (see second picture). So I specifically composed and rendered with that in mind. It's the first time I see one of my painting with such an heavy frame and I was wondering how it would go, but I am pleasantly surprised. The frame also has decorations in volume/going forward in the space, and I think it works well with the vase as a center piece.

So yeah if anybody is interested, it's a good option: buy the frame first, then commission a nice artist to do the painting custom-sized 👍 I did enjoy the exercise!

Plein air from last summer. I did it in two sessio

Plein air from last summer. I did it in two sessions, one for the drawing (and block-in) then one filling in the details. It's not usual for me, as I normally work more alla prima. However I remember this specific spot was paradise, very close to where we stayed at and in the shadows, with the stream cooling the hot temperatures🙂‍↕️ I managed to finish the painting just before leaving the fellowship.

Plein air from last summer in Spain. We chose this pine tree forest because the weather was quite hot. I stopped working on the painting when the wind was picking up and pine stuff started to fall on us.
I enjoyed working on the ground and really liked how the sun was hitting the landscape behind the trees.

Two small plein airs I did with @petite_paintbox , thank you @kellymicca for the conception of this very practical palette. I inaugurated it with a very swiss landscape by painting the Prealps ^_^

Despite living in Switzerland, I am not so much of a mountain person ever since I was dragged there too many times as a child on school trips, but I have to admit they are very nice to paint, I can't wait to do more of them.

Plein air near Zamora, Spain. This was my first time in Spain and my first day, so I kept seeing Sorolla's work and his colors. I really loved the light in Spain, it works very well for painting.

The other plein air I've done at the Cimitero dell

The other plein air I've done at the Cimitero delle Porte Sante, on the third picture you can see the ice cream made by the local monks I took 3 times in a row. It was really delicious (you have to make do when you don't have any coffee nearby!)
